You've just gotten a perm and you're feeling fab. The next question on your mind is probably "when can I put my hair up?" We totally get it – you want to switch up your look as soon as possible!

But before you grab that can of hairspray, there are a few things you need to keep in mind.

In this blog post, we'll tell you everything you need to know about when you can put your hair up after getting a perm.

How Long Should I Wait to Put My Hair Up After a Perm?

Ideally, you should wait at least 24 hours before putting your hair up after a perm.

This gives your hair time to "set" and ensures that your perm will last longer.

Trust us – the wait is worth it! If you can't wait that long, we recommend waiting at least 12 hours before putting your hair up.

Can I Put My Hair Up Wet After a Perm?

We don't recommend putting your hair up wet after a perm because this can cause your perm to become damaged or frizzy.

Instead, we recommend blow-drying your hair until it's about 70% dry before putting it up. This will help to protect your perm and keep your hair looking its best.

What Kind of Hairstyles Can I Do After a Perm?

There are lots of different hairstyles you can do after getting a perm! Here are a few of our favorites:

-Ponytails: A classic style that always looks chic. Just make sure to avoid putting your ponytail too high on your head, as this can cause damage to your perm.

-Buns: Another great option for second or third-day hair. Again, avoid putting your bun too high on your head as this can cause damage to your perm.

  • Braids: Braids are always in style and they're a great way to show off those gorgeous curls! French braids and Dutch braids are our personal favorites.
  • Headbands: Headbands are a great way to keep your hair out of your face while still showing off those beautiful curls!
  • Clip-Ins: Have fun with different hairstyles without damaging your perm by using clip-ins! There are lots of different styles available, so you're sure to find one that suits you perfectly.

Now that you know all about when you can put your hair up after a perm, it's time to experiment with some new styles!

Just remember to be gentle with your hair and avoid putting any hairstyles too high on your head.

Now go out there and show off those gorgeous curls!
